Joy

Grade 9

“I come from Enoosaen. I’m the last born in a family of six siblings, two girls and four boys. My mother is a businesswoman and my father is a pastor in a local church here in Enoosaen. Kakenya’s Dream has really helped ease the financial burdens of our parents. At my former school, I used to be sent home because we couldn’t afford school fees every term. I became so used to missing studies.

At KCE we are assured of safety, a well-balanced diet, a good learning environment, and the teachers are always there to help us. I also enjoy sports in our schools, especially football. My favorite international team is Manchester City.

My dream is to become a journalist. I would love to travel and look for news, meet new people, and get to learn more about different cultures. I’m sure that I will be able to achieve my dream through the educational support I get from Kakenya’s Dream to attend KCE I. I’ve even been writing stories and reading them to other students in class. Education is so important to me because I’ve come to realize that without education, life can really be unbearable. I would like to advise my friends to embrace education and create a bright future for themselves.
