Lilian

Second Year, University

After a difficult start in life, in 2012 Lilian was encouraged by a relative to enroll in fourth grade at our primary boarding school, KCE I. She recalls, “It was the most uplifting news I had ever heard. The way he spoke about it, I knew I would join KCE I. It was a dream that came true and became the start of a journey that is changing my and my family’s future.”

Lilian, now 20 years old, recently graduated high school and began university, where she continues to receive funding and support from Kakenya’s Dream and our partner, Women for Change. She intends to study law so that she can provide legal services to marginalized women, provide a sense of security to vulnerable populations, and effect social change within communities most in need.
