Kakenya’s Dream Enrolls 1,000th Student

We’ve enrolled our 1,000th student at Kakenya’s Dream! 🎉

Meet Narasha, our 1,000th girl. Her story is one of courage, hope, and possibility. A story that represents not just her journey, but the journeys of every girl who has walked through our school gates.

This milestone is more than a number. It’s 1,000 girls who are safe from child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM). 1,000 girls receiving an education, finding their voice, and breaking cycles of poverty and inequality—shaping brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

And we’re just getting started. Join us as we celebrate Narasha, honor the 999 girls who came before her, and look ahead to the thousands more who are yet to come.

Inspired by Narasha’s story? Help us write the next chapter!

There are thousands of other girls in our community waiting for the chance Narasha received. Your donation provides girls with a quality education and a continuum of holistic support from childhood to young adulthood, including everything from healthcare to job skills training. Your gifts also help us work hand in hand with entire communities to dismantle the harmful norms, beliefs, and practices that limit girls’ wellbeing on a systemic level.  Our approach is building a more equitable, inclusive society for generations to come.

Join us as we create a future where every girl can learn, lead, and dream without limits.
