Last week, Kakenya’s Dream won Public Interest Registry’s 2023 .ORG Impact Award for Community Building!
The annual .ORG Impact Awards celebrate individuals and organizations whose mission-driven work tackles a range of global challenges to make the world a better place. Kakenya’s Dream is honored to have been recognized among nearly 1,000 formidable organizations from 70 countries around the world!
The Community Building award recognizes organizations whose efforts have contributed to changing or enhancing the lives of those in their community. For nearly 15 years, Kakenya’s Dream has planted seeds of change that have helped communities recognize and embrace the important role of women in the development of society. By equipping girls with a quality education, leadership and life skills, the knowledge and resources to make informed choices about their health, and the confidence to chase their dreams, they are becoming extraordinary leaders who are driving transformative change.
As you well know, community is at the heart of our work. It takes a village to do what we do, which includes both our local community in Kenya as well as our community of supporters across the globe.
